  1. Smh....I think it's bull too, but maybe it's mileage as well.
  2. Calm down, everything doesn't need to be an angry debate. Obviously I know it's mileage but sheesh can my OCD be triggered. I've been here long enough to understand what goes on, yall should know that. Just let me vent haha.
  3. Once again, dumb ole DOB sending various XD40s out of UP to random depots. Sending 71xxs to FB when they can send FB back the 73xxs. They're sending 71xxs to FP when they can send the 72xx over there. We need to reform DOB as well, because WTF.
  4. Here they go with the mixed matched XD40s. Give FB the 73xxs back...let ENY have 7108-7109, 7134-7151 and whatever else they need.
  5. I don't know how they plan on transferring over 20 buses in a day....and then giving the Bronx buses in exchange...
  6. Updated B1 schedule with artic headways implemented: https://new.mta.info/document/6926 I seriously hope Ulmer Park doesn't turn this route into garbage, this route better be HEAVILY monitored.
  7. Wow this is new! How come they don't advertise this?! EDIT: According to this site below, looks like the route will take Start at the Junction like you said, and take Nostrand/ENY Avenues to/from Eastern Parkway, and then Eastern Parkway to Flatbush Ave and then Flatbush into the Manhattan Bridge, once in Manhattan, will take Canal St to 6th Ave. Buses will then use 6th Ave and Varick St to/from 14th St, and then take 14th down to 8th and 9th Aves. Buses will then take 8th/9th Aves to 58th St. https://rideschedules.com/mta-b99-bus-schedule-15150.html I wonder how many of these overnight routes are in the making?
  8. They can still do the same within that specific models fleet. Even though SI fleet is mainly LFS, having miscellaneous LFS at certain depots looks weird. Like S.I for example. Charleston has 8117-8183, 8259 Yukon has 8107-8116, 8184-8188, 8190-8192, 8194-8201, 8204, 8260, 8263-8299, 8301-8317 Castleton has 8189, 8193, 8202-8203, 8205-8258, 8261-8262, 8318-8323, 8399-8400 Like why not let... Charleston have 8107-8174 Castleton have 8176-8244 Yukon have 8245-8323, 8399-8400 Ion wanna hear anything about bike racks too because those can easily get swapped (there should be some bike racks on the 2019 LFS imo).
  9. I would be satisfied with... 4710-4723, 4743-4770 (42) GA 4724-4742 (19) CS 4771-4798 (28) UP IMO, UP should lose all of the miscellaneous XD40s that they have... 7108-7109, 7134-7139, 7255-7261, 7346-7365 They really need to make the fleets uniformed again smh...
  10. I don't see how it's expensive if all the buses have the same technology and the screens can be recycled and swapped between buses. Wow, so profits over ADA compliance and accessibility huh?
  11. From the looks of things, seems as if UP needs 28-30 artic buses for the B1. The remaining miscellaneous XD60s that could potentially make up that fleet is 4743-4753, 4756 from KB (12) 4782-4798 from GH (17) Ulmer Park already has 4743-4745, 4756 (4). All together those buses would give UP a fleet of 29.
  12. I was wondering what the status of that was...I thought at least the 2014+ buses would get so those big Nova/New Flyer/Prevost orders could be in the new scheme. Whats the update with the interior information screens? How come the 2011 Orion VIIs don't have screens but every other local bus in S.I has? What about the 4700/4800s? They put screens on some of the 2011 LFS, but not other models from that BT&E program. Also, do you know what the status is with all the new scheme XD60s, LFSAs without screens?
  13. I'd rather have ETix as a separate app for payments. Having all of that secure information along with train information just seems like it'll be problematic. One thing that would be nice with this app, is if they can designate the exits along the platform. So you can sit near your exit before you board the train. This is a great start...I have no real complaints so far.
  14. THIS is the GREATEST APP, I've used transit wise...wow this feels like we're up to date with technology! I'm very impressed.
  15. B83, B103, Q10, Q3, Q70, Q88, Bx5, Bx23, Bx29, M98. There's plenty more routes that utilize highways, but you asked for intraborough.
  16. This is how EVERY Xcelsior should've had their screen placements, and all with Version 2 or Version 4 (one small screen behind the driver, wide screen lined up with the beginning of the rear door). None of that backwards facing screen nonsense. Note: This bus ALSO sounds GOOD, MTA should've modified their Xcelsiors to sound like this as well. CT knows best!

Thank you to everyone that has contributed to the thread. Let me know if I missed anything. NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT FLOOD THE PAGE WITH POSTS OF ONE SPECIFIC UPDATED BUS...SAVE YOUR UPDATES UNTIL YOU GATHER A BUNCH. ITS NOT A RACE!!
  18. Are u kidding? This bus looks GOOD. Only part that looks weird is the yellow/light blue stripes going up towards the roof in the front, it cuts at the window line, and the finish cannot be seen because the window design goes up to the roof. I thought they would've customized that part, and probably do something similar to the Hudson Link design where those two colors would wrap back down, but other than that; these colors are everything!

  20. Ohh shitt I forgot about 165st...how's boarding taking place out there? Even out at Hempstead Terminal for NICE I'm curious to the setup they have.
  21. Ohh no!!! That sounds soo extremely scary and unreal! Jump out the window for your own safety!!
  22. I'm not gonna lie, "black rims" look good with the new scheme, lmaoo.
  23. Did u not see my complaints about BusTime? They don't give a F*** about the buses spitting out the wrong stop information, you think they care about an online PDF that barely gets check by the public?
  24. Thanks for the update, but if they had a volunteer team, wouldn't that expedite the process? There shouldn't be excuses for modifications that don't even need to be fixed that often...These are issues that wouldn't normally change frequently, so it should just be done right and get updated when needed. No point in having issues just blatantly there when it can get fixed. I'd happily volunteer, long as I know I'm helping others and all tourist and giving some drivers relief on having to over explain. It's like they're installing these screens for what? Just to shut up the ADA laws? Half of the clever devices screens don't even work because they're not programmed right. They need to make sure its done right and stop half assing everything. People can volunteer for things. Can you send me who to contact? I'll gladly be able to write to them to assist. (I'm talking about actually training and volunteering). There are some routes that are just very inaccurate. The S90 is the most absurd one of them all. Buses run limited to South Ave, but BusTime has buses running limited only to Park Ave. And guess what...the buses are announcing all of the local stops in between. There are a ton of stops that are misplaced, and because of this, some stops are being announced prematurely, or not at all, stops aren't being pronounced correctly. Some stops are listed twice and repeat twice. The MTA offers unpaid internships...they can't get the interns to assist with these issues? Cmon if this city cared more, they'd get things done. Thats why the subways are the way it is today...because of neglect. Wait too long and things get worse. If the MTA constantly maintained and upgraded when needed, these issues wouldn't lie today.
