For service to these stations, take the  to 7 Av or Jay St-MetroTech and transfer
to a Coney Island-bound .

For service from these stations, take the  to 7 Av or Church Av and transfer to a
Jamaica-bound .

Note: No  service at these stations during this time.

The C can't cross from local to express at 42nd.

No switches exist south of 42nd to allow the do so... it would run express after 59th....

I think it's more likely that the would go express after 42nd st. so that 50th and 59th is not a chore to travel between. But the ends around 10 anyway so they probably wouldn't have to alter much.

Ahh, Interesting. Thanks. Will there be a situation where the Express tracks will be running on CBTC and the local tracks are still on the original signaling system (Forgot what its called)

I've been avoiding the QB line this weekend. used the LIRR yesterday

why is QB going local this weekend?

That makes sense, but what happens if the system has a problem. I remember hearing something about the being down and that all signals had to be keyed or something?

How fast can a train switch ends if at a terminal a T/O enters the end of the train as opposed to walking through? For example, could a train pull out of a station stop at a signal, then the other T/O takes over and change directions? (how does it work at 71st Continental?)

Is the shuttle being slammed?

How does CBTC "allow" trains to run faster? 

So for this upcoming QB fast track how do they decide which crews do which end of the split? Also, the is cut short. Roosevelt to Jamaica Center. dot hey just concentrate the crews to run more frequent service but with the same number of train's & crews because of the short  turn?

 Its funny I'm still awaiting a response from Tom Suozzi on Facebook from my question of how he'd have done things with regards to bus funding.....

Exactly. These knee-jerk reactions of "I'm going to vote for Suozzi!" is not going to do anything. Suozzi doesn't care about the bus, he just wants a secure job where he can spend tax dollars and get paid for it.

What about Ending the Q27 at QV LIRR again, and extending the Springfield Blvd Branch of the Q1 instead?

What was the problem before, the left turn onto Earle Ovington Blvd headed to NCC? And the traffic at Hempstead Turnpike going back toward Hempstead?

So what do the scheduled train crews do during a fastrack when services end early, etc?

Due to signal problems at DeKalb Av:

Both directions, no  and  train service between Prospect Park and Atlantic Av-Barlays Center.

Southbound  and  trains run on the  line from Atlantic Av-Barclays Center to Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

Both directions, , , ,  and  trains are running with delays.

Allow additional travel time

There's a few reasons why this wouldn't work. First of all, the Q27 is long enough as it is. If you extend it further, it will become even more unrealible. Second, I don't think that anybody from Flushing wants to go to Merrick Blvd. 

Does anyone from Flushing want to go to Linden Blvd? LOL,

Does anyone take the Q60 the entire route? Does anyone take the Q44 from Jamaica to the Bronx Zoo? 

 As for the Q4, it dosen't need to be extended to Long Island. There's a reason that it's called MTA New York City Bus. If you Long Island Bus Service, take NICE.

1.  the Q4, it just ends at the Cross Island Parkway. 2. Elmont road is a quarter of a mile away. 3. The idea is to connect to NICE so that someone could take NICE... and vice versa.  If that's the case then the Q5 and Q85 should go no further than Hook Creek Blvd.

In December the first week (dec2 to 6) there no train from west 4 street to Jay street. this will be interesting

The  will mostly likely run via Cranberry between West 4 St and Jay St in both directions during that fastrack

What about the ? Unless the focus is just the Rutgers Tunnel

So basically 1 track is in operation at Parsons.Is that enough to have service run normal?

Almost, headways  are like 10 mins. But they usually do have inbound and outbound trains meet at Sutphin Blvd

Following an earlier incident at Kew Gardens,  and  train service has resumed with residual delays. . 

SERVICE ALERT: N6X STOP MOVE AT HOFSTRA!

 

Please note, that as of today, we have moved the n6X stop located at California Avenue and Hempstead Turnpike to Oak Street, across from the Netherlands dorms. This new routing will help facilitate faster travel times in and out of NCC.

I must say, they're very dynamic.

For a Queens Blvd East shutdown, I would do this.

 

ends early

turn at Roosevelt: run the every 20min from 10pm onwards and the local if Roosevelt can't turn them both.

 

shuttle train Sutphin to 179th.

 

Local bus: Roosevelt , all stops to Union Tpk.

Express bus: Roosevelt , Woodhaven, Forest Hills, Union Tpk, Briarwood-Van Wyck, Sutphin , Sutphin , Jamaica Center

Extra Q44 service until midnight

What do you think of a 57th Street - Jamaica Center?  Or maybe a full Broadway express. (I know the idea of a Fastrack is not to disrupt the rest of the subway) But the and are still well patronized until about 1am. Currently the has the capacity for the existing fastrack, but an Eastern("northern") QB shut down may be too much for bustitution. 

I would also make the  run every 6 to 8 minutes during this time until midnight. The MTA should allow a free walking transfer from the  to buses at 165 St terminal during this time.

I believe there already is a free walking metrocard transfer in place. 

Oh is is it going to be at union turnpike or 71st?
