  1. Oohh, I didn't read your post carefully. I was thinking about the image Fresh Pond posted. But yeah, just imagine how many train fleets would be needed to accomplish that. B)
  2. Unless the shopping carts are glued together on the express tracks, then I'm fine with that.
  3. Then local and express trains will no longer see revenue service ever again. B)
  4. For a starter, you'll work your way through and actually make bus signages in the future, that I'm sure.

  5. That's cool with me. I never knew you made the signs by scratch.

  6. Did you use a paint program like Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.NET, or Paint?

  7. Arial, Times New Roman, Georgia, Verdana, Tahoma, etc.

  8. 1. True that.

2 & 3. What font do you use? Unless you made it from scratch, then that's different since R44 CNG simply types it on Paint and chooses the font size.

    4. I have to draw that... there are some pics of the M60 with the airplane symbol. You can use that as reference.

And since you ask... you can put it in my thread if you like since you do bring up a good point. But the thing is, I haven't made an actual bus sign yet. :P This is only the beginning.

  9. That font is actually used for MTA buses with the orange Horizon LED's. I will post another example if I ever get the chance to do so. So far, I did two more fonts today.
  10. IMO, it's not even that bad. It's really close to what R44 CNG makes. I saw worse if you know what I mean.

  11. How about red? or yellow? or green? or brown? :P

    /goes on and on

  12. When you get the chance, go here.

  13. Heh, that was clever of you to add the "blue lights" on your sign.

  14. Capacity = 5 per shopping cart. Headways = 5 shopping carts per minute during rush hours, 4 during middays and evenings every 3 minutes, 3 during weekends every 10 minutes, 2 during nighttime every 20 minutes. Fleet = 200,000 shopping carts.
  15. Feast your eyes, everyone; official Bus Sign Fonts. Though the fonts themselves do not belong to me as I did not create them, the recreation of the fonts using Paint is my work. Everything remains true to the actual fonts, with no alterations done. I have more to do, so stay tuned. MBTA Bus Route Display! 225™ MBTA Bus Route Display !!™ MBTA Bus Route Display Numbers! 16. Amazing once again  I never knew Lenox Yard is that big, despite the fact that I passed by there once this year. Also, Bowling Green has two platforms; one serving downtown and the other serving uptown. Unless the station itself is meant to portray pre-1970.
  17. I recommend working on one trunk like, finish that one and work on the next trunk line and so forth.
  18. I started to collect Bronx bus maps in 1998, then bus schedules afterwards, and later subway maps. Unfortunately, I don't have any old maps before late 2002 anymore. I still collect the 3, but since I can always download them on the MTA site, it's somewhat rare for me to grab a bus schedule and the maps themselves, unless they get anupdated version. The subway transit used to be unique with different fleets running around at various places, and I enjoyed that at a young age. I did ride some of them, and the other half, I never did. The NTTs however ruined the uniqueness and everything looks the same now. The only good thing I like about the NTTs are the LED signs, but other than that, if there were a slanted version of the R143/160s, then I'd enjoy it very much.
  19. That is one way to make it. Another way is to recrate the dotted fonts by scratch, suing paint of course. You might want to download the MBTA fonts that have smaller letters too. That might help you in the long run.

  20. When time allows me to do so

  21. Holishytfullofawesomenezzinonepost  On a serious note, yep (8, 9-14 are unused, and here's proof)
