  1. Haha, this reminds me of "Q12 to Great Neck" proposal that pops up every now and then. Anyways, yes it's worth it as it's pretty well used.
  2. A GA RTS is out and about today... 4946 is on the B32 right now. With all these subway shuttles I guess it's all buses on deck to make service this weekend.
  3. In addition to Comic Con, City Field is hosting a concert for Korean pop band BTS, so major events at each end of the line. They should have really canceled the line G.O this weekend smh. Usually when the Mets have home games there's no G.O on the (7).
  4. pic from a couple days ago of five Q58 buses bunched up! (Four in the pic, 5th one I was on)
  5. Pic of new green yard sticker posted line 62A's (Haven't seen one posted on here yet) I never seen this reading on the countdown clocks before....
  6. When Fresh Pond got their new batch of XD40 I was expecting OG to be pushed out to depots that need buses to be replaced, so far, only 5205 got pushed out of the Pond even though they have 11-12 XD40s by now. Pond got hybrids from ENY to replace the ones they lost to MTA Bus, so I'm not why the XD40s didn't push more buses out of fresh pond.
  7. I have the worst luck with the B15, EVERY TIME I ride that got damn route from New Lots station it's always bunched up. Today I get off at New Lots and see on Justine that I just missed four bunched up B15 and the next bus was a half hour away, I said screw it and got back on the train. Years ago when I got screwed by B15 bunching Justine didn't exist yet so I just stood there and waited..
  8. Mount Vernon East on Metro North has Bridgeport station signs. When the train stopped there it caused quite a bit of confusion with the passengers as they thought they got on the wrong train (also the automated announce system wasn't on) then someone got on and said the signs were changed for a movie shoot. When I first saw it I thought some idiot in the Metro North sign department simply put up signs at the wrong station😃
  9. NJT MCI's has this code. SRO Coach buses seem acceptable on that side of the Hudson. From what I've seen, of all complaints I heard about NJT I never heard commuters compain about standing on the MCI. On Sunday I was at Hamilton Park in Jersey and even on a Sunday a couple of those 16x routes that uses MCI had standees.
  10. Its funny how 317 and 581 - 610 orginally had Cummins L10G.. the LIB units with the same engine were fan favorites when they was running. I was born in 91 so I have no memories of the 94 V CNGs with the L10G but I have quite a few after the re power. Since their their was only 30 of them out of 200 + buses JG had they were kinda rare. I rode a couple of them and TBH they weren't that good, I didn't ride every single one but the ones I rode were snails..
  11. This morning some riders got stuck in the Clark Street station elevator for an hour. To make it worse, there was loud banging outside the elevator and the riders inside had no idea what was going on, must have been terrifying! https://www.google.com/amp/amp.gothamist.com/amp/articles/create%3farticle_id=5bb2555cec23ea000192efe5 This is part of the reason when I go to Wash heights, I always take the just to avoid those elevators.
  12. Lol, scraping the wall is railfan slang when a express train runs local. I have no idea if the R142 did that in the Steinway tubes lol.
  13. Today R62As were on the (4), difference was this time the was running express in Brooklyn where's prior weekends they had this G.O The had been scraping the wall in BK due to the Clark Street work. Got to ride one in both directions between Fulton and Utica, loved it😃 At times we ran along side a 62 trains, felt like it was the 90s again 😄
  14. For some reason, most of the remaining SMEE sets at ENY are layed up on the Broadway el express track between Myrtle and Broadway Junction. Also I only seen ONE SMEE set in service on the today which was a 32.
  15. Got 4937 going both ways on the B42 today 😁 and this bus is a runner too which puts the icing on the cake
  16. Glenwood Road near the Rock Park station has a bus lane in one direction now.
  17. If in these other cities passengers can activate the emergency brake, then yes. Also sometimes signal systems malfunction which causes the trip arm to activate, this can happen PATH as they use the same signal system as the N.Y. Subway. I was once on a train that got tripped like three times in the Montague tubes in the mid 2000s.
  18. Was in Hempstead Transit Center and patrons was openely smoking weed there in the middle of the PM Rush, wow lol.
  19. I believe with the SI "big three" (X1, X10 and X17) pretty much stayed the same after the SIM redesign, I heard they even copied and pasted the timetables from those routes in the redesign lol. I think when the BK redesign comes a heavy hitter route like the B6 will be left alone IMO... I will say though when B6 SBS is implemented it will have to run the full route from UP depot to New Lots.. I remember a few years ago the B6 limited was cut back to Rock Park station where's the locals went to New Lots, the old routing was changed back the very next pick😂
  20. I wonder how T/O's like the 179s... I ask cause as a rider at times it feels like their brakes slide when coming to a complete stop, this is on dry rail too. I know when that one 143 set had Siemens propulsion I heard the brake siding was really bad on that set, I wonder if the 179s have the same issue.
  21. The best thing about the B82 SBS being weekday only is it's fleet won't be running on weekends so ENY will have to run a good amount of their RTS on weekends to make service!!!😄
  22. Went by Trump Tower today, surprisingly, traffic wasn't that bad. Predsidian traffic seemed lighter than usual for that area. Was expecting more lookie loos (that was the reason I was in the area) since cheeto was in town for UN. Didn't want to or expect to see Trump I just wanted to see the over the top security measures😄 I only saw Manthattanville buses travelling down 5th, the SI express buses were going W/B on 57th. No idea where the Brooklyn express routes were running. I was expecting the area to be complete gridlock and chaos, but it was super calm, to the point it was eerie. The MTV buses I saw flowed right though smoothly.
  23. Yep. Noticed this since last week. Seen only one set on the today. It got layed up as soon it pulled into JC. Usually there's more 143s than 160s on the (J), now, it's the other way around.
  24. Someone on Reddit caught 3156 being delivered..
