  1. Of all of NTT that debuted so far, I thought they made the schedule public for the R110s? What crazy is after riding the 10 car on Sunday I haven't went looking for it since. It's nice to see both the & get new equipment at the same time though. As an early 90s baby The A and C always had the oldest cars since I been alive.
  2. Today I finally rode an CP express route, now I been on express route out of every MTA Bus Depot (Even BP and LGA). NYCT side I never been on an Medrith or QV express route.
  3. FLA will probably get a whole bunch of those unassigned XD40s intended for the shuttle I'd imagine. That would be the most logical thing to do IMO. I do hope FLA is the last depot ever to operate RTSs though. Only fitting the GOAT depot is the last to operate the GOAT Bus 😃
  4. I believe the construction materials is placed on the Work trains at 36th Street yard, I don't think they just up and move the operation to CI Yard.
  5. The work trains come from 36th street yard in Sunset Park, which connects with the West End line between 9th Ave and 36th street. The work trains use the 4th Ave line to access the rest of the Subway system.
  6. Ok. When I rode though there I didn't see any workers on the platforms.
  7. It ran on a fan trip in the Rockaways a couple years ago
  8. The RTS are too new for the holiday runs, it will probably be 15-20 years before we see an RTS on one of those Holiday runs. They don't even use 236 on holiday runs and that was retired years before Blitz 5227 bus was lol. As for running a fan trip of sorts to bow out the RTS, that would only work if they used every RTS in the museum fleet so one bus wouldn't be overcrowded. But I doubt the TA would want to run the PBL RTS's on the M42. Plus all the buffs would flock to 1201 and 10001 due to their engines. I think the last Fishbowl got retired quietly without any fanfare.
  9. This 10 car set is generating more excitement than when the 8 car set first went into service on the lol. As for it running to Rockaway Park, I believe all Rock Park specials are put ins from uptown, do only one trip to Rock Park and layup out there. I doubt they will use an NTT on an Rock Park special until 211s dominate the line.. Those runs are perfect for older cars, why don't they use 32s on them, I don't know. Rumor is politics and those Rock Park riders would get aggy when their rush hour special was an R38 rather than the R44 back in the day, or so I read...
  10. Does anyone know if RTS 5209 is still active? Whenever I try to look for it on the tracker app its never in service.
  11. There's no need for cops to be riding this train just because its a brand new 179, not even fan trips with museum cars have cops on them.
  12. If they do, it should be one of units that ran on the BX12 SBS before the 1200s came. MTA loves SBS so it would only be fitting a bus from that original SBS batch gets saved.
  13. Is this video on youtube? If so, can you post it?
  14. I think the 143s has or had enough spares... until they started using them on the line. There would be as many as 3-4 sets of 143s on on the in addition to the other sets on the line. Pretty much all of the 62A run on busy lines with short headways and their holding up just fine, just wanted to throw that out there...
  15. Bedford Ave on the only has construction lights lightning up the station. The regular lights either got taken out or turned off. Speaking of lights... why are the lights at 168th on the line still on? They might as well turn them off until the station opens again.
  16. Cell phone pic snapped at 207th, oldest and newest..
  17. Train is stuck at Chambers due to an smoke condition at high Street...
  18. Yes, it's Lefferts Blvd bound in Midtown rn
  19. At 207th, transfer to the 1 line is announced (and listed on the find)and has an brand new person announcing the transfer.. Also an 32 A train pulled in 207th right behind causing quite a bit of "excitement".
  20. The 10 car set doesn't show up on Subway time or countdown clocks.. Also it topped out at 48 MPH on the flats N/B... But it only hit that speed briefly
  21. I have noticed 143s getting pulled from service due to "mechanical problems" a couple of times lately, then again the is my home line that I ride the most so maybe issues on that line just stands out more to me... As for saying the 143s aging, so weird to see that term referred to an NTT car class so soon, especially for a car class that's expected to last 40 years and is only 18 years old. I expect the term aging to apply to cars like the 62/A & 68/A which are getting up there in age.
  22. No idea, I never got to Jamaica Bus service area when they was running, everywhere else, before my time lol.
  23. I don't think that's the reason, even the rare R110s there's barely any photos of them in service. Same goes for the 80s when the R62/A and R68/A when they was brand new. Alot of fanners today have media content of the various X model NF buses even though they all the look the same with minor differences. The New Flyer buses are the new RTS in terms of dominating the fleet. Also Jamaica bus operated Gumman buses well into the 90s and yet no photos of them right before retirement.
