  1. Surprised the NG will be the most hated once the RTS leave. I thought the Orion hybrids in general were the most liked buses overall by MTA drivers.
  2. ☺️The buses in the Brooklyn Division are so clean and so well maintained. Was downtown BK today and all the buses I saw were so clean. Fresh pond buses have dirty windows but their buses are good "under the hood". Rode an ex FP hybrid on the B17 a couple days ago and that bus was fast as hell. Even one of FP 2015 XDs had a little giddy to it, that was the fastest 2015 XD I been on.
  3. The M9 has 20 minute headways on Sundays so I was surprised to see so many buses parked there. I thought they was using MTA buses to shuttle people for some kind of event or something like that. Sometimes they do use MTA buses for misc events like cop funerals, etc.
  4. Since when was a 110B car apart of the Transit Museum fleet!?! If true that's awesome news, hope they put it on display at Court Street in the near future.
  5. Anybody know why there's like 5-6 MJQ 40FT buses parked on 1st Ave near E27th street?
  6. I was on an B83 that crawled for no reason a couple days ago, bus got caught in traffic around Broadway Junction, Alabama Ave area and still crawled, and our follower passed us and we never caught up to him.
  7. Aren't SI hybrids getting rehabbed? Maybe those 4600s are pinch hitting while YUK hybrids are getting rehabbed.
  8. The is running express N/B on the Dyre Ave line this weekend!
  9. With the rate that RTS's are leaving ENY it seems like the last depot to operate RTS will come down to FLA, UP or JA. Please let it be FLA or UP haha. As for the D60HF, the WF units are the easiest to find for me, I seen one on the BX15 this past Saturday, was gonna ride it but it had snow chains so I passed. Hate riding buses with snow chains.
  10. Been that way since last summer, I rode 6500 home from the beach on the Q35.
  11. Not even the train takes two hours to go from Flatbush to Wakefield... and that's the longest line in the IRT!
  12. 6500 is at ENY as well. Seems like the Google bus roster was recently updated.. https://sites.google.com/site/mtanewyorkcitybusroster/new-york-city-bus-roster/flatbush-bus-depot
  13. 42 is now leaving Essex Street, crossing the WillyB Queens bound.
  14. There's an 42 in service on the right now. Didn't see it but heard it on the EL, knew it was an 42 cause there was no AC traction motor noise when it came to a stop.
  15. I saw 2 sets of 42s in ENY yard this morning (After the AM Rush). Both parked right next to each other on the lower level.
  16. It's the middle of the AM Rush and the both the B44 AND B46 SBS is mostly SBS wrapped XD40s. FLA SBS 40FT fleet must have an high spare factor to have all these extra buses on the 44 SBS.
  17. Wow, I just seen a video on Youtube of Double Decker museum bus 1263 running under its own power. Yea, its was from 2010 but still, I had no idea that a bus from the 1930s was still operational as recently as 2010. I thought it was a static display that had to be towed everywhere. Here's the video BTW:
  18. ENY sent some buses to KB... a bunch of Hybrids and one XD40 (numbered in the 7000s, not a 4800). Is there enough 40FT buses in the system where weekday rush hour service could be made WITHOUT using any artics?
  19. I had a feeling the PBL NYBS was better than MTA Bus, I never rode NYBS sadly but from pics they looked like a nice little mom and pop operation. Bus decals written in script and such was a nice touch. I didn't know NYBS riders were against the takeover.
  20. They rarely ever do the the whole snowstorm loaner thing on weekdays, SI will probably get their buses back overnight.
  21. Forgot to mention this, a couple days ago I came across a Bombardier 142 with screechy brakes, which is so rare. I have been riding those cars regularly practically their whole service life's and rarely ever came across one with screechy brakes.
  22. @Future ENY OP it had BP stickers but they could have not gotten around to changing them yet. Seeing that hybrid on the B103 so reminded me of my high school years. It caught me off guard and had me like...
  23. Whoa, the XDE40s are at Jamaica!?!?! (Check the moves and transfers thread) Since it seems like they are doing a tour of the system pleassseee let them make a stop at UP.... Glad 0016 finally got transferred to Quill, for the sake of diversity I hope Proterra wins the EB order, that and the Proterra is more fun to ride than the XE40 IMO.
  24. It's one of the ENY originals, I hardly ever get those these days.. well the ones numbered in the upper 4900s at least, I usually get 5000s or the lower 4900s assigned to ENY. Speaking of RTS, I rode one out of every Depot that has them today except for MJQ.. I plan to ride an MJQ RTS today as well once I'm able to make it to the city. Since the RTS fleet is on borrowed time, I always wanted to do an fan trip like this. So far today I been on ENY/UP/FLA RTS's and right now JAM..
