  1. One of those 42 pairs at ENY is tagged with graffiti, saw it earlier in the day.
  2. That's probably only the pilot train, I doubt any 211s exist yet outside of the pilot train. Considering the previous two B div NTT (160 and 179) took a year to complete testing before entering service I wouldn't hold my breath on the 211 pilot train entering passenger service in 2020.
  3. To me the 42s are more pleasant to ride than the 32s, smoother stops, less jerky, etc. I'm just glad some 42s stayed an extra decade or so after their planned retirement... Same goes for the 32s.
  4. The company that makes the CBTC system being installed on the QBL.
  5. Not sure what section to post this, but the bus terminal at Rockaway Parkway station is almost complete and should be opening pretty soon, they added a new set of turnstiles at the station which aren't in use yet.
  6. Nothing. I like every BK depot and think they are all good maintenance wise but FLA/SC/ENY are my favorites. JG is fourth on my list if I had to make one.
  7. Flatbush, SC and ENY are the best depots of the BK div (in no order). Honorable mentions, UP, JG, FP and GA😀
  8. Another leaked photo, just like the 160 from the side...
  9. The line is FUBAR right now, due to some problem at West 8th https://mobile.twitter.com/NYCTSubway/status/1207044468014231552
  10. Just rode by ENY yard just now, saw some 42s in the yard.
  11. 3020 - 3029 burn in testing (Not my video)
  12. I think the 32s will still retire first despite these rotting issues some 46s supposedly have. At this point the only thing in good shape about the 32s is their bodies, I seen 32s two to three cut out doors on one car, they don't stop smoothly, their MDBF is low and their A/C units break down a lot. I still like the 32s but they certainly have seen better days.. The rotting 46s can run a few extra months.. no biggie IMO.
  13. The flat wheels is due to wet leaf season, happens every fall.
  14. One of SC C40s broke down and had to be towed back to the depot
  15. Was lucky to bump into R68 2755 which still as its factory delivered number plates. This car got into an accident with a flatbed car IIRC and was sidelined for quite some time before returning to service.
  16. Is it me or the build quality on the 10 XDE40s we have is trash? They are rattle traps to me which is weird cause the diesel Cuomo XD40s built during the same time period seem to be pretty durable. I'm not surprised Nova got a bigger piece of the hybrid pie.
  17. Those trains that got taken OOS might have gotten vandalized while running in service.
  18. Its crazy as IIRC some of the Flex Metros were almost 20 years old when they was retired.
  19. The buses will be replaced over 6 years starting in 2021, the oldest being retired first. Buses can start being replaced at 12 years old
  20. Uh, on here..? I read on here that CBTC will start testing with passenger trains between Roosevelt and 71st on the express tracks starting Dec 23rd. I *thought* they would want CBTC equipped trains only but @RR503 answered my question already as to how things will be handled.
  21. I have a feeling that the line at the very least will still be using 46's past Dec 23rd. Only 2 and a half sets of out like what 45? sets of R46s have been transferred so far and were already at December 9th. They can probably only transfer like 1 or 2 sets a day at most? Yea CBTC will only be starting on the express tracks but service disruptions and G.O's...
  22. They are replacing the NABI's starting in 2021, I remember when NJT was mostly flex Metros and the seeing the demo NABI at PABT while on a Flexible 107... just seemed like yesterday. I'm excited about this as I find the NABI's rather bland and prefer the XD40 or NovaBus LFS..
