The Redbirds are running tomorrow to reduce crowds on the Low V, the line of thinking is some railfans might pass up the Low V to ride the Redbirds. I love the Low V but they are running the GOAT IRT cars tomorrow right behind the Low V Crowds were huge on the Arnine hoilday runs and the final R32 trip. So look at it as crowd control of sorts, that's how I view the situation at least.

Looks like they ordered XN40s to replace the 1800s and they think they have an sufficient amount of buses to make service even though it won't be an bus for bus replacement. Theres 40 1800 NG CNGs but they are ordering only 33 XN40s to replace them. I wonder why they didn't order more Gilligs.

Last weekend BK, Manhattan and BX depots worked the shuttle. Maybe this weekend will be repeat of that.

Today I seen three B17s bunched up, never seen that before. There was an 20+ minute gap in service at Eastern Parkway & Utica. The B17 usually runs pretty well so both of these occurrences was an shock to me.

I'm pissed about this cause I wanted to ride an 551 to or from Philadelphia Greyhound terminal and with this change it looks like I won't get the chance to I was planning an Greyhound to Philly - 551 - 319 fantrip but it looks like it will have to be an NJT NEC - Riverline - 551 - 319 trip instead. I have no idea where the NJT routes that still go into Philly terminate/start at in Center City so I'm just gonna avoid that take Philly bus to Camden and transfer nonsense. NJT south jersey riders don't have the political pull to force NJT to send those routes cut back to Camden into Philly (but terminate on the street)?

Do the XDE40s at MTV get inspected/maintained at MTV? I have the same question for the Nova HEV at MJQ.. Or when they are due for inspection or road called they go to the depot these buses was originally assigned to?

Bombardier R142s outperforming the Kawasaki R188s, I always thought that Bombardier had the superior product when comparing the bomb R142s to the R142A/188. Bombardier gets a lot of unfair hate by railfans as all three car classes they've built for NYCT turned out to be pretty good. Not to mention the M7 for the commuter rails.

This was still the case when I attended Grady about an decade ago, most took the Brighton line. At one point I took B68 home regularly only because I got bored of taking the Brighton line after a while, got the same driver everyday lol. But it was an very small amount of students though. B68 didn't serve the neighborhoods most Grady kids came from plus it wasn't as quick as the train was so most didn't take it. BTW they did away with those B68 trippers by the time I came there. I wonder what year Grady stopped receiving school trippers.

Today for the first time I sort of got inconvenienced by CBTC. I got to Broadway Junction in the middle of rush hour and I noticed the next train was 9 minutes away, far longer wait than normal. When the train got to Rockaway Parkway I overheard the T/O tell the RCI that the train went BIE multiple times in ATO. RCI was working on the train while it went back to 8th Ave in service.

If those new LFS at Jamaica push out the XD40s... Seems like they will go to the various Brooklyn depots that already have XD40s AND Brooklyn has a new order of XD40s coming up (the one 7851 is apart of). Nice. I also wouldn't be surprised if that Jamaica batch of LFS pushes some of 2011 LFS to MTA Bus... MTA Bus is supposed to get new LFSs in the near future. Why not supplement those new buses with the older LFS?

Sounds like an circulator type route would be created to use these electric buses on. Baltimore and New Haven CT have these types of route. Kind of disappointed this is the new route they are debuting. Was hoping they would convert the N40/41 to an BRT route or something. Also wish these buses would run on any NICE bus route rather than be restricted to this new route.

Also why are only ENY B/Os aware that you can take Cozine Ave/Glenwood road straight to Rockaway Parkway station rather than going down Flatlands and backtracking?

NYPD doesn't care about minor stuff like this, they have bigger fish to fry. Also teenagers breaking into cabs have been happening since forever. Since Paramount owns the rights to Star Trek I hope it's an Star Trek themed wrap. That would be great, especially considering the NTT are like an Starfleet ship on rails, those consoles in the cab are similar to the consoles on the Enterprise lol.
