  3. Instead of fixing signals which is one of the main problems, they fix rollsigns instead. It’s kinda like an average teen who procrastinates but finds other work to do instead of starting homewrk.
  4. That’s very weird considering they get loaned 40footers back from GH lol. I see some pretty weird stuff sittin in their yard. MCH Orion’s, GH’s LFS, KB buses and a few more.
  5. Why do they do a half-assed job of replacing seats especially on older buses like D60HF’s? It makes it obvious when only a select few seats are nice and shiny and don’t have fabric on them. Does someone at the depot deem a seat to be fixed?
  6. Who is it that does the drive from the manufacturer to JFK vendor? Also, how do they get back to the manufacturer?
  7. It would be a great idea if they compiled all the information of planned work on one wkend. Which they already kinda do, but make it specific to a certain train line by printing it out and handing it out to the conductors in the train yards. On the paper, it could say when approaching such and such stop, make this announcement so pax aren’t waiting on the platform for a nonexistent train. I find that sometimes conductors don’t even know what’s going on. I know some conductors already do this but it’s honestly hard to remember what’s happening to all the train lines at the same time.

  10. No they don't. The ticket they print out just says "LGA" I believe.
  11. Can someone check the status of 5766? Saw it driving around with the tailpipe cover missing. Not that big of a deal but it did stand out.
  12. Slowly the 600s at CP are getting them. 600, 601(which ran over an MTA worker today) and 602 I believe.

  14. I was eavesdropping on a convo between two C/P operators and one of them said they had to refuel their buses at WF because the CNG pumps at CP were frozen. Apparently, it’s a somewhat commin practice for them. Poor guy, his shift just ended too and he was 2 blocks away from the depot. Doesn’t this add way more mileage to the bus? Turns out om his way back, they got the pumps working again. Oh! The irony
  15. Do CP operators need to be trained to operate the Orion 7’s or are the runs covered by the other depot in which they are loaned from? How does this whole process work? Starting from the loaner leaving from the original depot.
  16. They definitely run another route after. I believe that specific eagle Roosevelt Ave short-turn you mentioned does a run on the Q66 right after. There's definitely some interlining going on but I do see some drivers starting out there day on the Q34, then shifting to other routes as well esp. Q25/34/65 in Jamaica. They could move to the Q23 as well as I've heard some dispatcher talk.
  17. I don't know if anyone mentioned this but I noticed on C40LF #650, they also installed passenger counters aside from the new info screens.
  18. My went on battery runs for three days in a row now. Everyday at 74th st-Broadway, the C/R announces it'll go express. This is not during the PM rush hour, this is early afternoon when trains aren't running.
  19. I was hoping they took the CS XD60's. I was excited when there was even a mention of taking them and CS getting some LFSA's but then it was confirmed later that they'll stay. Disappointing.
  20. Yep. The Q44's also short-turn at Whitestone-14th Avenue (deadheads back to depot after), Lafayette Ave (first stop in Bronx) and H. Grant Cir (last 2 are unofficial layover IIRC). The original plan for the Q94 was Flushing-Fordham Plz, dubbed a "super LTD", dunno what that means or how it works but I think it would be hard to find another way to Whitestone Br without replicating the Q44 too much or going too far out like College Pt Blvd and then the ridership base is another problem to tackle as well. Not many people transfer over......well, actually, a decent number do transfer over to the Bx9 after the 44 but that might just be terrible timing with the Bx9 which manages to find itself bunching one way or another.
