  1. Lol that R179 ended up doing a battery run via fulton street express to euclid. It was so weird cuz it was terminating on the express track. The right behind came up right behind and switched over to the normal terminating track. Like y not just send it over the switch in the first place instead of unnecessarily delaying train service. So many ppl were shocked it was running express. One lady got on at Bway Jct expecting to go to Liberty but nope. Uptown and also did a switcheroo, on the express and pulled in on the local and the Liberty Ave passenger was fed up as it was wtf is going on?
  2. So tmrw’s women’s march, whats the chance they do the R160 from CI to Norwood on the D?
  3. That Q58 ended up finishing a good 15mins before its scheduled arrival. Does that mean more time for lunch? 😂 😝 😆
  4. So I took the Q58 today around 1PM or so. Boarded at Ridgewood and going to get off at Flushing. So far ride is pretty calm but that’s cause my driver doesnt give a damn about the schedule and is literally hauling ass behind the guy that departed at 12:53. We are definitely leeching off our leader and a gap between our bus and the bus behind us is opening further and further. Wyd Grand Ave??? I g my driver is one of those if I leave the terminal on-time then I’ll be on time for the rest of my route. LOL As a passenger, I love this but MTA management would be fuming. After all, who can complain about plenty of seats and a fast driver LOL As I’m typing this, we just passed out leader and my driver dgaf.
  5. There’s been at least one artic everyday on the Bx28 for this week. It departs paul-205 st around 2:15 or so. I wish it would happen on the Bx26 and not the Bx28. Speaking of which, the Bx26 is way faster than the stupid Mosholu thing it does.
  6. In these cases, doesn’t a TSS come in and watch the door? And then they run the train light to the yard or layover station?
  7. I wonder if they have to fill out a report of how much work they did that wkend. It’ll prob consist of coffee breaks and lies. Someone from the higher-ups shld go down there undercover or a spot check and blow the whole thing wide open. If thousands of commuters are being f**ked over by this slow, monotonous and simply inefficient project, then there needs to be a shake-up in management.
  8. LOL definitely not. It's really early in the morning. I forgot to mention that part. Whoops...
  9. is there a new run om the Bx22? I always see a NG on the Bx22 now and that run specifically. It starts at Pelham Pkwy and makes it’s way down to Castle Hill and the return trip goes to Fordham Ctr. I’m not sure where it goes after that, maybe interline with the 34?
  10. Bruh. Do they really need the parts that badly? That they’re willing to drive/tow the bus down to LGA and swap it? Seems like a lotta work. Why don’t they just start scrapping the bus and someone can just take the axle down to LGA?
  11. Nah it suffered from serious bunching and gaps too at FP ngl. A lotta ppl get passed up too when it's too crowded, just info that BusTime couldn't show ya. Only really big anomaly that stands out to me is those 4 buses en route to Flushing and no buses from Flushing back to Corona, granted it could be drivers logged off at terminal which then wouldn't be that bad. This actually doesn't look like normal service level at this time on a line like the Q58 tbh; it's a LOT less.
  12. I agree, a few operators on the Q44 are some of the best, they know when they can haul ass and get away with it. They play with the gears a lot, especially when climbing the Whitestone. When exiting the Whitestone on both ends, it's a quick maneuver but most are doing 30+ on a tight curve.
  13. Okay, best sounding I agree are the 1200s but the 2018s barely make noise. They are designed to be quieter. The 1200s are incredibly weak from a driving standpoint so I think these 2012's are that perfect in between. I'll really just take any nova tbh but new flyer is meh, I see stuff falling apart and most of it is cosmetic stuff but I've seen multiple compartments of the bus which are supposed to be locked come loose.
  14. OMG I LOVED THOSE BUSES TOO!!! I WAS SO PISSED when they took them off the Q44, my home line. Gave us some subpar Allison XD60's I'm gonna be quite honest, they're just okay IMO but man those novas. Why the MTA take em away, I don't care if you giving us some high-tech blue and yellow shit, gimme the NOVAs
  15. This thought just occurred to me. I've never seen an MCI or express bus at an CMF before LOL
  16. Lol how many stalled work trains have happened at Qnsboro Plz, it seems like a frequent occurrence

  18. So I was onboard 5762 doing the Bx22 s/b and the wheelchair lost power to the bus. We encountered two passengers on the route and each time the driver would get off and explain to the customer that he couldn't pick them up cause the lift wasn't working and showed them the card you fill out for faulty buses. They should retire the D60HF's if their lift is broken because that's pretty unfair to tell the passenger to keep waiting for the next bus. But he also told me stories of where rookies wouldn't pick up wheelchair pax by telling them the lift wasn't working. One such instance where the rookie was caught was a rookie that seemingly always had a broken lift, his superintendent friend dressed up as a wheelchair passenger and was trying to get picked up. The driver used the same bs excuse so the superintendent drove down the road a few stops ahead and flashed his badge for the driver's keys to test the wheelchair and well, let's say that driver didn't last long after that...
  19. There’s definitely more accessories associated with the R211 but that also means the chances of something just not working increases. Give it about 2 years time after they come in, those FIND displays might just be stuck on one screen or half the screen is working and half isn’t. Those LED lighting strips near the doors are bound to stop working cuz people lean whichever way they want on the doors. NYers will be NYers at the end of the day. Just my 2 cents.
  20. If they implemented an operators key which would be a standardized key across the fleet, would it help prevent these crimes from occurring???

  22. Haha. Try that shit in NY and you best believe you ain’t getting ur card back. LOL 😂 😆 😝
