  1. Did the same thing with the QT47... can't differentiate between north, east, south or west. These are such simple mistakes that shouldn't have happened in the first place had we had an effective team planning this, QT73 needs to be switched too. QMT117 to "Hudsdon Yards" 😒😪
  2. The QT68 route says northbound to Federal Circle and southbound to Jamaica Hospital. How did this happen? Smh. They prob don't even ride the routes. They released the route profiles too and this still slipped through the cracks, shows how inept they are and we're having them redesign a whole borough's bus network. Someone just shoot me. EDIT: ......and they did the same thing with the QT11. Eastbound to East Elmhurst and Westbound to 188th. REALLY?
  3. He did show up for the Nostalgia Rides tho, clearly he gives more of a shit than some others in power. He tries to be as down to Earth as possible albeit good publicity is also a factor.
  4. Well, dunno if this is reliable. Don't want to get your hopes up but not all sources are reliable. Hopefully, they run one last time, I feel like Byford would take up the opportunity to send them off with one TRUE FINAL RUN as well.
  5. A lot of these local bus routes end up in stubs, they just run to the bumblef**k nowhere. I do acknowledge the fact that some of these are built to obviously serve neighborhoods and thus may end in suburbs, but exactly who will benefit from riding the QT86 north of Flushing? It just runs to the Whitestone Expwy unless they just want people going to that Stop N Shop mall, or movie theater or hell it might be a convenient place to start the bus from CP depot. The whole Whitestone Expwy/Linden Pl corridor is over served IMO. People would rather take the QT44, it makes fewer stops and just runs more frequently. And the QT84 Flushing-Bayside, who would ride that, it starts at Flushing and goes to Bayside via the outskirt of College Point and Francis Lewis, they definitely tried recreating the 76 but like that? There are faster options like the more direct QT17 to substitute that and as far as I'm concerned, not everyone wants to get off the bus at Northern and Francis and get the QT73 down to continue their journey, it's not like there's a huge amount of turnover there either. Quite frankly the QT84 chose a place to run with very little ridership, it runs in the sticks and suburbia 20th Avenue if you will, not the nitty gritty College Point and gets its feet a little wet. Another issue I see is they have the QT16 doing a Q20/25 variant running every 1,861 min...whatever lets just go with the 6 min peak. They do know the Q25 runs more frequently than that, right? They have the local's and limited's running together as scheduled but this 6 minute peak isn't going to hold its own. How do they even know riders will stay on the bus anyways? They haven't studied ridership patterns and only going solely off the numbers and that is not a way to redesign a bus network. Many former Q25 riders who stayed on the 25 for college point service now have to get off at Flushing and transfer to QT15, they basically mixed and matched the Q65 truncated and the Q25 together and hoped it works. Do they want a lot of people to transfer at Flushing? I foresee that happening. Some of these proposals are probably being set up for failure so they can use it as an excuse to cut service later on or truncate or just eliminate the bus route with no substitute.
  6. 9:08 R42 final trip RFW from Jam-Broad. Sadly not enough battery to record Broad back to Jam.
  7. It's like they gave a kid a box of crayons with an outline of the Queens map and they told him to have at it...
  8. LOL I recorded the whole RFW from Jam to Broad today. Not a single buff so ur prob good. Just some crazy homeless guy around Bowery yelling about Jesus.
  9. The 42 boi is still kickin, did the following trips today: 7:15 Jam-Broad 8:09 Broad-Jam 9:08 Jam-Broad 10:11 Broad-Jam
  10. Pretty sure they can’t go to Atlantic. Everywhere else is okay, just gotta make sure the engine is a dual mode to go to Penn cause they don’t want diesel fumes in there.
  11. How come when they ran the Redbirds and R40's, the MTA gave everyone a heads up that the last day of service was on such and such day? Wouldn't they do the same thing for the R42's?
  12. It's been there awhile now, like a few months? I think 7421 has one too but I think it's just those two out of CS XD40 batch.
  13. Is the XE60 performs exceptionally well in one area compared to other buses when they test them in various locations, could they make a permanent transfer to other depots?
  14. And the CBTC installed on the Flushing line currently.
  15. I feel like this would be the best course of action. No rush to scrap them anyways so why not hold off until we find an issue with the 179’s.
  16. Just looking at a lot of these previews, I’m a bit scared at what they have up their sleeve. A lot of these ideas I would never have dreamt of and no one in their right mind who takes these routes on a regular basis would suggest. Bus routes would literally lose riders by the hundreds if they were rerouted elsewhere or truncating them.
  17. I saw a Facebook post saying it’a the last week for the R42’s. I’m a bit skeptical cause it’s the first I’m hearing about this. Can anyone shed some light?
  18. Definitely agree with making some n20 trips unsplit and run as an express to Flushing, it would increase some reliability because when one part of the line fails to show which happened to me recently...about 2 weeks ago, you don't just leave passengers stranded. The current N20G frequencies back to Flushing around 6-8 PM are also lackluster to be honest, especially when comparing it to the opposite directions service at 15 min intervals. Saw at least 5 Not in Service buses passing by on Middle Country while waiting for an N20G back to Flushing. The way it's working currently during rush hours is N20H dumps almost all of its passengers at the gas stations and the N20G takes around 5 mins, pulls out and makes a right turn onto Northern with the bus already AT LEAST half full to seated capacity. One person got so infuriated that NO BUS CAME WITHIN THE SPAN OF 6:30-8:00PM that she threw herself not once but TWICE in front of a bus to get it to stop. The first guy was not in service but the second guy was in service but was gonna pass us up cause his bus was SRO. Police had to be called but everything was resolved peacefully (no arrests made) and 5 mins later, the third bus showed and ended up passing the second guy a few stops down the line.
  19. I think the Q50 could just skip the Loop entirely, or reroute a few of them to head straight to Section 5 via Bartow. The Bx23 is much more frequent than the Q50 during peak times and they bunch up quite a bit with the followers being quite empty and the first bus isn't even close to a seated load. It leads to Bx23's overtaking the Q50's in many instances and the Q50 pulls into PBP 5-10 minutes late. You have two bus routes taking passengers along the same route to the same destination but one goes a lot further so it does seem wasteful, let the Q50 be a true limited and not just skip those measly stops along Bruckner.
  20. How many new XD40’s did SCT end up ordering? I see plenty of them on the 3D.
  21. LOL why? This seems out of the blue especially when they added 46’s then took them off and occasionally one may pop up there.
  22. I don't understand what's going on here. Is it like R179's are being taken out of service?
  23. I find it a bit funny that Visa/Chase invested millions into the OMNY system but then they don't do any promotion. MasterCard on the other hand, is running the Fareback Fridays promo. Visa probably cares more about issuing contactless cards first and foremost so consumers can spend their money on things other than transportation. Just my thoughts.
  24. I've never seen Byford this mad. He's not happy at all..... This definitely overshadowed the OMNY tap LMFAO.
