  1. OP was asking about the Cuomo scheme on the buses, not the screens. FWIW, I don't really care if the scheme goes on the older buses, it's too flashy and I prefer the normal white and blue.
  2. Anyone have any pics of bus#8421, the LFS that was recently damaged?
  3. Well if you recorded him doing it, it might blow up like Fan Railer's M9 video LOL
  4. Does anyone know why when the M7/M9 doors close, it's moves into a slightly ajar position and still unlocked as the indication is still red, and then the doors click into the closed position and the indication shuts off?
  5. Mileage purposes I'm assuming or beefing up summer service? Kinda weird how they shift over every few months. 6128 and 6130 transferred awhile back but their screens weren't on. Speaking of which, when are they installing screens for the 44? In a semi-related note, 6002 is on the Q12, rarely one of the 47XX's appear on the Q44 but the spare ratio is higher for the 44 I guess...
  6. I think if they threw in purchasing tickets, it would've been even better for the sake of consolidating everything. But OMNY will roll out in a few years anyways...
  7. Curious, do the new Prevosts have Wifi and USB charging outlets?
  8. Just a guess but probably where they do finishing touches and some level of inspection and quality control on the buses?
  9. On that same note, if Kawasaki knows that they're the sole business, prices go up and they may become negligent in their build quality knowing that we have to constantly rely on them for a certain product.
  10. I think I heard awhile back that the LIRR was still considering M9's for DMU service. Are they still considering it or am I just hallucinating things?
  11. Yea, I guess I spoke too soon but according to the Wikipedia article, 507 hasn't seen service since December 2019. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they do with that set. Sucks that 2 or 3 of the DM engines are out of service already and all the DE's are fine. And most of them were due to accidents.
  12. Yea, but it would probably cost them more in the long run. I would rather they install them in clusters because they most likely get paid travel time so why having them bouncing around the city when they can do a stretch here for one day. It would be more useful but most people are sticking to metrocard anyways...
  13. Not sure where to post this but the TTMG roster (now that they've combined commuter rail and subways) has inaccurate information regarding the DE/DM30AC's. I think a few of the engines have been retired over the years due to various accidents. According to Wikipedia, 43 of the 46 engines are currently operating. The numbers retired are 503, 507 and 511.
  14. Nah, probably just a coincidence, I saw an M3 on Monday as I was crossing thru the LIE to the Midtown Tun.
  15. Haha, whoa whoa whoa, you're encouraged to prepay through their FastFare app but I don't think anyone is enforcing it. Also, who knows how long it'll last but you should probably check here before you set off for your trip: https://www.sct-bus.org/ The fare is pretty cheap but comparing to the amount of service they provide, I do feel ripped off.
  16. The R160A did it's 30-day pilot test run on the A though.
  17. From an observational standpoint, it's already confirmed the R32's are going back into service. The R42's return to service still remains to be determined.
  18. Does anyone have pics or vids of bus#5252 (ex-5299)?
  19. Did it go to the Bronx or did it short-turn somewhere? That would certainly be a rare catch, up there with the MCI coach on the Q46.
  20. I think it should make additional stops along Northern Blvd heading east and reaching the highway it should parallel the Q66/QM3 to Main Street and then make a stop there, and then follow the Q34 routing to Whitestone and continuing on till Bay Terrace making all stops. No point in having it skip Flushing completely especially with so many transfers there.
  21. I wonder why they kept the X68 and the QM6 running, they seem to serve relatively the same area and those are walkable distances. I feel they should keep the QM2/20 running late nights, either one but not both (preferably the 20 since it serves Mitchell Linden proper). Looking at the Remix map definitely shows you the gaps in the system.
  22. Isn't Silk Road Trucking going bankrupt which is why MTA had to find another company to truck cars away?
  23. I think it would depend on how you proposed it. If you were asking a genuine question about where it is, they might tell you it prob doesn't exist and suggest an alternative. However, if you tweeted a meme at them about the 76th Street station whereabouts, you'll prob get a response saying not to press any further or there may be consequences LOL.
