  1. You guys fail to realize JFK needs new 40 footers, their newest 40 foot bus is the next gen that are 2010 models and have alot of mileage. ECH should just get option order.

JFK has way too many hybirds and we all know they're not as reliable as a diesel bus.

You got that right.Way too many hybrids. I can't stand the hyrbids especially the OG hybrids. Also can't believe how far the 96 RTS has been running. Good job for those RTS buses, keep it up.

  2. Definitely an interesting idea. A busy route connecting many lines. However, I see a few issues with it. The line currently uses 40 foot buses. looking at the route, I don't believe people would enjoy 60 foot buses on the comparatively tight roads. Kind of like what happened with the Q10 when they began running 60 foot buses. Of course, all of this could be avoided by using 40 foot buses like the B46 SBS. Another thing: When you get to the north flatbush area on the current route, the Limited Stops are very close together (I'm assuming you are saying the current limited stops would be kept). I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work too well that close, and there'd be quite an arguement over where to keep the stops. Also, the SBS routes tend to have a main place or attraction at one end or a long the route, or travel through pretty dense areas. While important, I'm not sure the B35 really fits that. Of course, all of these are minor things, and this could possibly work.

I have a question: Why is the Q10 so busy? They added 60 foot buses just to keep up with overcrowding. But looking at the route and where it goes, I don't understand why it is this way. Can anyone explain? Thanks.

The q10 bus is so busy because a lot of people comes from/to the airport and it's like a connection to manhattan where you can take the bus all the way to the last stop kew gardens union typke and transfer to the subway E/F train.

  3. Did anyone run into 5033-34 in Queens yet? I tried to hunt them, but didn't have luck. I'm curious as to if the WF decals were kept.

yes i rode 5034 on the q43 bus this afternoon, that bus still had WF sticker on it and inside the bus it has the bronx bus Map

  4. Is West Farms Depot willing to return 2004 D60HF New Flyer #5734 , #5738 , #5739 to Gun Hill Depot.. #5734 still have Gun Hill Depot decal. So #5738 , #5739 are still at West Farms Depot. Only opinion. West Farms Depot should return to 1999 RTS Nova Bus to East New York Depot or Flatbush Depot.

I agree with you but for now its unlikely west farms depot will return the rts to brooklyn. We probably wait until when the XN40 order starts to commence then they would probably return the buses back to brooklyn.
