Which Subway Map Style Do You Like?

Below are links to representative subway map styles since unification and The Board Of Transportation. Which style do you like and why?

 

1) 1959 Subway Map: Three color (I.R.T. Black; B.M.T. Green; IND. Red)

Yeah, I really dont get why is he posting this same topic when we already discuss it already.

 

It should have pop up a message in his post that there is a similar topic.... doesn't work that often?

 

The problem is, there's only 5 shown threads...which means that 70(EE) probably got a bunch of fantasy maps in the pop-up.

My curiosity in asking this question was raised by the interesting discussion in the thread about the upcoming new version of The Map and comparisons to the current version.

 

I thought I would pick a representative map from the approximately five designs since 1941, provide a link to view each, and see which style of map layout, compared to our current map, people like, based on geography, typeset, color, clarity, and information.
