MAA89 Posted September 20, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 20, 2009 Where was this from? Found it on the voting pages at Failblog.org. Was there an alternative service to make up for the change?
RTOMan Posted September 20, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 20, 2009 Where was this from? Found it on the voting pages at Failblog.org. Was there an alternative service to make up for the change? It was due to skeletonized tracks on the (E)cho and (F)ox Lines in Queens.. Cant run the "normal" rush hour service if you got trains moving at slower speeds due to this all you do is create nightmare back ups. I seen it all over the Place at Parsons, but didnt they finish with that track work?

INDman Posted September 22, 2009 Share #7 Posted September 22, 2009 I don't see how this is a "fail". The work needs to be done, track needs to be replaced for saftey reasons and for the work to be done and allow trains to operate safely, some rums must be canceled. People need to get over it and leave for work a little early. Once it is done, service will go back to normal and the tracks will be safer and provide a smooth ride. DarrylR.14 Posted September 22, 2009 Share #12 Posted September 22, 2009 If you take out the construction part ALL together, there's your fail. Shouldn't it be more trains run frequently on rush hours, not less? See fail.(If your not from NYC and don't think that's a construction advisory...well there you go)

See fail.(If your not from NYC and don't think that's a construction advisory...well there you go) Thanks, and yeah, the other guys need to take it easy. People who post on failblog are not necessarily railfans and may not understand about construction requirements. The whole object of sites like that is to highlight usually unintentional actions that seem to fly in the face of common sense (in this case, that trains should run more, not less, frequently, during rush hours). The issue of temporary adjustments was not in the thoughts of the poster. Taken by itself, the sign, especially to a non-New Yorker, would seem quite absurd. R32 3348 Posted September 27, 2009 Share #14 Posted September 27, 2009 OMFG guys stop overanalyzing. The poster is supposed to be taken out of context because it's Failblog. This is called humor. Less trains run during rush hours It's a FAIL because you're supposed to run more trains during rush hour It's taken out of context BECAUSE it's funny if it is
EE Broadway Local Posted September 30, 2009 Share #15 Posted September 30, 2009 Where was this from? Found it on the voting pages at Failblog.org. Was there an alternative service to make up for the change? Nice pic! I think it might be for the train during rush hours.
